Where Should the CAN Link be Terminated for HFO4/5 Systems?
Symptom
Where Should the CAN Link be Terminated for HFO4/5 Systems See Long Description. The Terminator is not installed where the Interconnect Diagram specifies. There is confusion about where the end of the CAN Link should be terminated on HFO4 and HFO5 systems. The HFO4, HFO5, and HFO5 Upgrade System Cabinets are delivered with the CAN Link Terminator applied to J5 of the Z2 Shim Supply internal to the cabinet, and there is no instruction to move it. But as shown in the cable map on page 5-6 of section "CABLE & SYSTEM INSTALLATION" of Direction 2402693, "Signa OpenSpeed EXCITE System Installation", Revision 3, it is supposed to be connected to J56 of the System Cabinet interface panel. Which is right? See Resolution concept for the complete SMILe released 11-27-06. (PQR # 13074785) 13074785
