LX System Boots All The Way Up And Will Scan But Does Not Display The Workspace Icons In The Upper Left Corner.
Symptom
The Workspace Icons are not Present In The Upper Left Corner. See long description. The system is an LX running 9.1 M4 software with an OCTANE I computer with an 18Gb disk drive. The System boots up without the upper left workspace icons (Scan, Display, Service Tools, ect) just a blue background in this area. The problem started after a power outage. Oddly enough, the “Patient Register”, RX Manager, and "autoview" windows come up so the Customer is able to scan. They can’t change to any other desktop though. They rebooted a couple of times and no change. On the bootup, the FE noted the following error: "Media Error Unrecoverable data block read, device 1 sector 6. We found the same error when viewing the /var/adm/SYSLOG file.
