MVP3 Error 162, 173 Defective Fiber Optic Cables
Symptom
MVP3 Error 162 173 Two defective fiber optic cables See long description. The system consistently displays 162 and 173 errors. The tube select and the tube filament lights are flashing on the console. The FE has replaced both the console CPU and the power unit CPU. The console power supply has also been replaced. NOTE: All transmit and receive references are to the console fiber optic cable. Try swapping the exposure fiber optic cable with the receive fiber optic cable and the clock fiber optic cable with the transmit fiber optic cable. The clock signal seemed to be missing, but logically the chances were quite low that this would happen on both power unit CPU boards.
