Service Note 43657_0 Aug/06 XT Database Slow to be available as a dbsrvr
Symptom
Service Note 43657_0 Aug/06 XT Database Slow to be available as a dbsrvr Service Note 43657 _0 Aug/06 XT Database Slow to be available as a dbsrvr This service note informs service there can be a long delay in the availability of the XT device as a dbsrvr, if the XT device has a very large database. Service can either recommend the user remove unneeded data from the XT device before creating it as a dbsrvr or wait patiently for the POWERstaiton to complete the process of making the XT device available. It should also be noted the POWERstation may operate slower then usual when it is building the database point files for the XT database. After upgrading from 5.2.0 to 6.0.0, the pointers are rebuilt and can cause the system to operate slowly. When the pointer files are updating, the dbinfo window will either be blank or report "updating." Notes:
