Laser Alignment Lights on the Openspeed and Ovation do not Function Correctly.
Clarify; HFO Ovation
Symptom
Laser Alignment Lights on the Openspeed and Ovation do not Function Correctly. Effectivity: All OpenSpeed systems produced after November 2001 with Magnet I/F Module part #2254366-2. This problem would be immediately seen during installation. Note: You may encounter this problem during the replacement of the Magnet Interface Module (I/F). As always, refer to the most recent Replacement/Maintenance procedures (Magnet I/F Replacement/Maintenance), for the most recent information when replacing parts in the Signa system. Problem Description: The Magnet I/F board had a change that made it functional for both OpenSpeed and Ovation. The "universal" Magnet I/F board now includes a single board mounted Sub-miniature Quad "in-line" switch pack, that should have had its switches set at the factory for standard OpenSpeed operation. The symptoms may be one or a combination of the following: Laser Alignment lights work in one position only. Laser Alignment light is constantly ON. SMILe - 3/18/02
