Symptom
Indigo computer fails to boot Applications Software. Message in log: A HOST_SHUTDOWN was initiated by the death of autoview. See Long Description. The operating software boots up on this Indigo computer running 8.3 software, but on every applications software boot attempt, logging in as signa, it seems to come up partway, then crashes back down again. The FE logged in as root, opened a c-shell using the root menu (right mouse click in background) and viewing the message log, using this procedure: cd /usr/g/service/log more gesys* This error was logged on every attempt:200002352 A HOST_SHUTDOWN was initiated by the death of Autoview
