Intermittent Ghosting or Smearing on Head FSE scans
Symptom
MRIQ Intermittent Ghosting or Smearing on Head FSE scans The system is a 5.X Horizon Echospeed, running 5.8 software. The Customer experiences intermittent ghosting on Head FSE scans only. All other scans do not have an issue. See image and Additional details in the Long Description. The system is a 1.5T 5.X EchoSpeed with an SIII magnet. The scan above is a FSE scan in the HEAD coil. This was very reproducible to varying degrees of ghosting, only on Head FSE scans. This same sequence was done in the BODY coil and with the CTL coil and was not a problem. Other PSD’s in the HEAD coil are not a problem. Along with the problem described with the images, SPT would also fail FSE stability with HEAD only, BODY FSE Stability passed without any problem. FGRE Stability passed on both Head and BODY.
