Saving System State Data by referring to Functional Check/Adjustment (CD-ROM) -> Introduction -> 3-4 Basic Operation. 2. Shut down system. 3. Turn OFF the OC main power. 4. Remove the front and right covers from the OC. 5. Turn off the CB1 and CB2 at right side of the OC. 6. Remove the six (6) screws that fasten the SCSI Bay (see Illustration 4-1). 7. Remove the OC Host PC Front Cover by unscrewing its four (4) screws (Illustration 4-1). Illustration 4-1 OC Host Cover 8. Remove the two (2) screws that fasten the Host PC Support (Illustration 4-1). 9. Move forward the Peripheral Assy and the OC Host Computer Assy to a position which is convenient to disconnect the related cables (Illustration 4-3). 10. Mark and disconnect the cable connectors. Note There are two types of Host Computer: 2369082-2 and 2369082-3. The connectors are different between the two types of Host Computer. For Host PC (2369082-2) a. Disconnect the connectors on the rear panel of computer (Host Video, Ethernet, Serial 1, Serial 2, Keyboard, Mouse, Power Supply Cable, Bit3 Cable). b. Disconnect the IDE cable connectors from CD-ROM Drive and two Hard Disk Drives, two Power cable connectors from Hard Disk Drives Disconnect the Outside Sense cable and the Outside Control cable from CN4 and CN2 of the Front Panel. For Host PC (2369082-3) a. Disconnect the connectors on the rear panel of computer (Host Video, Bit3 Cable, Ethernet, Serial 1, Serial 2, Keyboard, Mouse, Power Supply Cable, Outside Control cable). b. Disconnect the IDE cable connectors from CD-ROM Drive and two Hard Disk Drives. Note For the replacement between Host Computer 2369082-2 and 2369082-3, refer to section 4-1-4. 11. Slide the Host Computer and the Host PC Support out, ensure that no cables and connectors obstruct the Host Computer Assy removal (Illustration 4-3). 12. Unscrew the 4 screws and loosen the 2 straps that fix the Host Computer Assy (Illustration 4-2). 13. Remove the Host Computer Assy from the Host PC Support. Illustration 4-2 Host Computer Assy (Front View) Screws (x4) Host Computer ASSY Straps (x2) 14. Install the new Host Computer Assy by referring to steps 13. through 8. 15. Check BIOS setting. Power ON the OC, press Meas Dist to reach BIOS set screen when the Pentium Logo displayed on the screen. Refer to Advanced Diagnostics -> OC -> HOST COMPUTER BIOS STANDARD SETTING. 16. Softeware installation: Refer to CD-ROM, Functional Check/Adjustment -> System -> Software Loading to reinstall Software. 17. Restore the OC to original configuration. 18. Perform the test scan and verify that the scanned image shows normally. end
