Error message
sudo gre-raid -q -v shows a failed disk in any of the slots 1 to 8. See long description to find out the failed disk slot. HSDA Hard Disk Drives (HDDs) The HSDA utilizes eight (8) Serial ATA (SATA) Hard Disk Drives (HDDs) for saving raw scan data in a redundant format (RAID 5). By utilizing a RAID 5 configuration in the HSDA, a single HDD failure will not cause immediate down time. The HSDA will continue working until such time where the failed HDD can be replaced. Also the boot up error log gesyslog does not show failed disk slot. Error log will read "The scan disk array was started normally. gre-raid: success " Wed Dec 1 00:38:15 2010 Error: 290014000 Host: MMHVCT2 Process: gre-verify-darc File: gre-verify-darc.cpp Line: 185 The scan disk array was started normally. gre-raid: success To verify the failure, shutdown the applications, open shell, rsh darc then run sudo gre-raid -q -v {ctuser@MMHVCT2}[3] rsh darc ctuser@darc ~$ sudo gre-raid -q -v verbose .
