Scan pauses intermittently with errors logged due to SCP3 board.

Symptom

Scan pauses intermittently with errors logged See Long Description Customer reports that sometimes scans pause. But when they press the scan button on the SCIM it continues the scan. Or sometimes it can not scan, but if they copy/paste the series and download it, the system can scan successfully. Errors are logged in the message log when this happens.
