'Dead' channels are: 1-8-> Extended Error: Sys Cab and UTNS Bypass Diag: Dead channels while running these diags indicate a problem with a board in the receive chain (MUX, UTNS, Rx), or cables between the boards. Sixteen bad channels (or eight bad channels in an eight channel system would indicate a problem with the signal source, or problems other than the three receive chain boards. Eight bad channels in a 16 channel system would indicate a bad board. Swapping good boards with suspected boards is an effective way to isolate a problem.
