Symptom
Off Center partial ring artifact See Long Description for Example Off Center partial ring artifact Notice: Off-Center Ring / Arc artifact is recreated by placing the 35 cm poly phantom 70 mm off center. Observe that the ring tends to follow the position of the phantom and is offset from Isocenter. This is due to the affected Converter cards non-linear response at a specific gain range and dose input.

From a hardware perspective the main difference is in the MDAS. The 4 slice configuration uses a depopulated MDAS. This means that all EVEN slots are empty. Only ODD numbered slots contain converter boards. Data collection is still performed in the same manner using only the odd converter card slot assignments.
