CWA Operating System OS Software Boot Sequence Halts on HP4000.
Symptom
Operating System OS Software Boot Sequence Halts on HP4000 Problem started after a power hit which lost power for a few minutes. HP computer will not boot. Boot sequence halts during OS load when accessing the Serial Expansion board in the host (communication fault with DGDM).
Error message
Communication problem with DGDM Linux boot sequence would halt at this point. Not really and error code. More of a process in the software boot. See Long Description for entire message which is displayed on the LCD during boot-up. Linux boot sequence would halt at this point. Not really and error code. More of a process in the software boot. The Linux Boot process would come to a point where the screen says the following: Starting dgdm: dgdm: dgdm-0.08-1 Digi International Part Number 40002059-G1P dgdm: found 1 boards dgdm:board 0: AccelePort 8p PCI (rev 0), irq 18, addrs : 0xe9200000 0xe9100000 dgdm: dxb structure (53684 bytes) is aligned at f5f90000 dgdm : Configuration : 8 ports, operating little-endian dgdm : POST issued 1 info record dgdm : Info 0001: 0000 03840000 00000000 00000000 The boot up process stops here and goes no further.
