Does the MEDCAM Baseboard p/n 2292662-11 Require Terminators? See Long Description FE is troubleshooting the MEDCAM on this HFO3 system, and has a MEDCAM baseboard part number 2292662-11. He is removing/adding CPU and memory daughterboards trying to isolate a defective daughterboard. But in so doing, he needs to know whether this baseboard needs the terminators to be applied that some other baseboards require when removing daughterboards. Looking at the sc1rea2 AP BOARD REPLACEMENT procedure document, on the latest revision OpenSpeed Service Methods (Direction 2250758-1 Rev 3 December 2008) there is no mention at all of this baseboard or terminators for any baseboard. (OpenSpeed Service Methods uses Rev. 0 of this document, in which there is no mention of this baseboard) How should he proceed? Does this MEDCAM Baseboard p/n 2292662-11 require the 2292662-6 terminators when daughterboards are removed? The same part is used on Signa LX. Looking at the equivalent procedure for Signa LX, in the Signa LX Service Methods (2160623-1, Rev. 23 June 2009) in the same document, there is a later revision, rev. 2. But in this document there is a discrepency. TABLE 1 MEDCAM COMPATIBILITY CHART shows the terminator is compatible with MEDCAM baseboard 2292662-11. And there are several other sections in this rev. 2 of the procedure dealing with the terminators, but no mention is made as to whether the 2292662-11 should be excluded from this requirement. But in the revision block on the last page of the rev 2 document, it states that the MEDCAM Basebord 2292662-11 is "a new part that no longer needs terminators per PQR 13165487". Also that revision of the replacement procedure is in the Signa LX Service Methods, not in the OpenSpeed Service Methods, and we are working on an OpenSpeed system. So the question remains, does the MEDCAM Basebord 2292662-11 require the terminators or not for OpenSpeed systems?
