Intermittently Unable to Scan with CERD NETWORK ERROR due to UCERD Exciter II.
Symptom
Intermittently Unable to Scan with CERD NETWORK ERROR See Long Description Signa LX system, running 9.1 software, is intermittently unable to scan due to the CERD NETWORK ERRORS that are being logged, shown below. The frequency of occurrence is once every two to three weeks. When this happens, the customer recovers by shutting down and powering off the system, and then rebooting the system. The network software on the CAP is probably not running. Reset and/or power-cycle the TPS chassis. Tue Jan 20 09:11:36 2009 2233311 2 SMMC_MR_HCD NSPTPS: 1321 CERD NETWORK ERROR The TPS has placed a packet in DPR for the CAP to take, but the CAP has completely ignored it. The CERD DPR may be broke or (most likely) the network software is not running on the CAP. Reset and/or power-cyclethe TPS chassis.
