MVP3 Phase Error Codes 1 and 2

Symptom

MVP3 Error 1 and Error 2, No Exposure During power up, or after a Power Unit Microcomputer Board Reset, the Power unit will verify the ability of the Power Unit CPU board to control the +15 VDC Switched to the other three boards in the Power Unit Card Rack.

Error message

MVP3 Error 1 The +15 V Check signal should be off and is on. During the start up of the system (after a reset) or after a FATAL error, the system removes the +15 SW signal (39 A, B) by means of the +15 OFF signal (U312, 2). The system then verifies that the +15 CHECK signal (38 A, B) is not active. Otherwise, error 1 will be displayed. Error code 1 produces the following: It inhibits the passage of the exposure signal. It disables the +15 OFF Signal (U312, 2) It orders the opening of the Safety Contactor. Zero Amperes of current is demanded for the Large and Small Filament.

MVP3 Error 2 The +15V check signal (38 A, B) should be off and is on. The system is powered up. If there are no FATAL errors, the system triggers the +15 OFF signal. The system then verifies the +15 CHECK signal (38 A, B). If it is not active, error 2 will be displayed. The error has the following effect: It inhibits the passage of the exposure signal. It orders the opening of the SAFETY contactor.
