Troubleshoot the Activion16 gantry rotation section
Use this when the rotation section won't turn, makes abnormal noise, rotates unevenly, or trips the rotation servo's overload relay. Work top-down: find the malfunction that matches what you're seeing, run the listed check, and go straight to the matching fix. Several branches bottom out in "call Toshiba Nasu Operations" — that's the source manual telling you the cause needs factory/ depot-level s

Safety
Hazard: Gantry serviced with power live / covers open
Consequence: electric shock or injury from unexpected system operation
Avoidance: turn OFF system power at the distribution board and wait ≥5 minutes before opening covers to inspect the rotation drive
Hazard: Rotation section can rotate suddenly during inspection
Consequence: a worker caught in the rotation section can be seriously injured, especially if a part has been removed and the assembly is now unbalanced
Avoidance: engage the rotation mechanical stopper before removing any rotation-section part, and use the cover switch / CP320 / rotation lock pins to block inadvertent rotation while servicing
Hazard: Manually rotating the drive with the brake still applied
Consequence: system malfunction in the rotation drive
Avoidance: always release the brake before turning the rotation section by hand
Hazard: Slip ring (LCSR) and brush section carry hazardous voltage
Consequence: electric shock
Avoidance: do not remove the rear dome cover live; turn OFF all breakers on the distribution board before touching the slip ring or brushes, and do not restore power with the rear dome cover off
Hazard: Cycling SW320 while the gantry is rotating
Consequence: damage to the servo amplifier
Avoidance: never switch SW320 ON/OFF during rotation — use CP320 to remove power from the rotation servo
