Open or close the gantry front cover
Open the Activion16 gantry front cover for service access, or close it back up when you're done. Opening removes the front under cover and the Mylar ring, frees the front cover itself, then props it open using two supporting pipes that lock into square holes — one on each side. Closing is the same sequence in reverse.

Safety
Hazard: Supporting pipe not fully/securely inserted into the square hole while the front cover is held open
Consequence: The front cover may fall or close suddenly, possibly resulting in injury
Avoidance: Insert each supporting pipe (left and right) fully and securely into its square hole before letting go of the cover or reaching underneath it
Hazard: Tilting the gantry while the front cover is open
Consequence: The open front cover may contact the ceiling or the patient couch (gantry tilts up to 30° in each direction); the system may be damaged
Avoidance: Before tilting the gantry with the cover open, confirm clearance to the ceiling and to the couch across the full tilt range, or close the cover first
