Defective 8-port Ethernet Switch in the System Cabinet.

Symptom

Application Software does not complete the boot process with TPS Download failure

Error message

2223851 Reset TPS was not Successful. errno 11 -> 2223851 1 MROC_OC0 NSP TardisReset.cc 471 Reset TPS was not successful. errno : 11-> Note: The extended log below can be viewed from the Service Browser with the Service Key installed. Pull up the GE System log under the Error Logs tab. If there is an extended log available, the error number will be a hyperlink. Clicking on it will reveal the extended log below. 2223851 ERROR: EM_mrNSP_ITLink_RESET_FAILED Reset TPS was not successful. errno : %d Extended Error: The MGD failed to start a TPS Reset. Either the serial connection to the MGD STIF Board is not working or the Ethernet connection from the Host to the MGD Hub is not working. Run the APS, AGP, and SCP Host Data path ping tests to check the Ethernet connections. Run the APS, AGP, and SCP Board Level Diagnostics to check the SCSI Serial Expansion. The STIF Board serial connection is not tested. If both sets of diagnostics pass but yet the TPS Reset still fails then please closely inspect the serial connection between the SCSI Serial Expansion and the MGD STIF Board.
