Service Note 43630_1 Jan/06 Infinia Heavy collimators tooth edge effect Service Note 43630 _1 Jan/06 Infinia Heavy collimators tooth edge effect Problem description: Because the Medium and High energy collimator cores are produced with lines of holes are tilted in a 15º orientation, this technology creates a “Tooth edge effect” around the edges of the flood image. See Figure 2. This does NOT effect the image quality and eliminates ring artifacts in the reconstructed image. Notes:
