Symptom
When trying to move cradle in or out of the gantry, it moves about ½ an inch and then stops. See long description for details. The table will move up and down. When trying to move cradle it or out of the gantry, the cradle moves about ½ an inch and then stops.

Therefore, potentiometers are NOT needed for cradle or elevation encoder circuits.
