Service Note 43516_0 Feb/05 Additional Lead Shielding for Radioactive Leakage for Infinia Detectors Service Note 43516 _0 Feb/05 Additional Lead Shielding for Radioactive Leakage for Infinia Detectors Background. On rare occasions, it was found that the shielding on the sides and rear of the detector head was not sufficient to prevent gamma penetration. An “Additional Shielding Kit” was developed as and add on spare part for systems where additional shielding against gamma penetration was required.
