Extend the life of your MOD by doing the following: 1) Verify enclosure that MOD is to be installed in is cleaned before replacement. 2) Verify customer media not contaminated with dust. 3) Damaged or dirty customer media will shorten MOD life and should not be reused. Carefully slide open media window and inspect. 4) Avoid leaving media in MOD for long time periods since dust and dirt migrate into the MOD and media; MOD life shortened. 4) If media manually removed from MOD using hole in front bezel then cycle power to reset mechanism BEFORE attempting to insert next media. Instances where archiving stops and message in error log indicates Failed Saved Exam. Paused xxxx. (where xxxx is exam number) can oftentimes be fixed through software and usually does not indicate bad MOD. See Error 10191 Failed Save Exam. Paused in Problem/Solution DataBase (PSDB) for fix details. CDT 1/08/2007.
