SMILe 8/23/05 Subject: Coil ID failures with 8 Channel Switch. Effectivity: All Signa Excite 2 (11.x) systems equipped with 8 Channel Switch (part number 2362995-2). Problem Description: The 8 Channel Switch can fail so that the LPCA green Coil ID LED is illuminated at all times, even when a coil equipped with Coil ID is not connected. Oftentimes to recover it is necessary to cycle power to the Driver Module and perform a Reset TPS to allow scanning.
