When a FuncTool series is created, the series appears in the browser and then intermittently it will disappear from the browser.
Symptom
FuncTool Series Appears in Browser, Disappears from Browser, then Reappears Again Later See Long Description System is running 9.1 M4 s/w version 9.1.0311b with patches up to 33 (inclusive) loaded. There was no problem until the FE loaded the 9.1 M4 patches onto this system (previously, there were no patches installed). Now, When a FuncTool series is created, the series appears in the browser and then intermittently it will disappear from the browser. Then sometimes, several hours later, it will appear in the browser again. There are FuncTool image-database-related errors being logged. In addition, there are disk_space_id and declare_image.c input/output errors being logged in /usr/adm/SYSLOG. The problem began when all of the patches were installed, and it's happening on another of his scanners as well. Swap space seems fine: Memory: 512M max, 454M avail, 84M free, 950M swap, 884M free swap. I found no disk device hardware errors being logged. The disk partition is currently 81% full. FE reloaded software (complete LFC, including patches) and the problem remained. I submitted PQR 13037590 (SPR is MRIhc06279). Engineering was able to reproduce this problem on one of their scanners. These are the patches that were loaded onto the system: Hostname : ahm1 Build number for MrpApps is 91.29I_M4_0311.b Build number for PostSdC is 91.29I_M4_0311.b Build number for cclass is 91.29I_M4_0311.b Build number for driverSupport is 91.29I_M4_0311.b Build number for insite is 91.29I_M4_0311.b Build number for install is 91.29I_M4_0311.b Build number for os_cd is 6_15.4.a Build number for patch_91_M4_02 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PB Build number for patch_91_M4_03 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PB Build number for patch_91_M4_05 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PO Build number for patch_91_M4_07 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PG Build number for patch_91_M4_11_0Connectivity is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PK Build number for patch_91_M4_12 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PG Build number for patch_91_M4_13 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PL Build number for patch_91_M4_14 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PJ Build number for patch_91_M4_15 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PO Build number for patch_91_M4_16 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PK Build number for patch_91_M4_17 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PL Build number for patch_91_M4_18 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PK Build number for patch_91_M4_19 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PK Build number for patch_91_M4_20 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PO Build number for patch_91_M4_22 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PP Build number for patch_91_M4_24 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PL Build number for patch_91_M4_25 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PN Build number for patch_91_M4_28 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PO Build number for patch_91_M4_31 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PP Build number for patch_91_M4_32 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PP Build number for patch_91_M4_33 is 91.29I_M4_0311.b.PP Build number for pc is 91.29I_M4_0311.b MR Software release: 9.1.0311b
