Revolution XQi Failure to boot; UPS problem.
Symptom
Revolution XQi Failure to boot; UPS problem. Use UPS stop command for work around See long description. AWS workstation will not boot It gets to login and turns off. Before this problem the field engineer made a wrong selection when configuring Insite. This turned off the UPS communications. If the AWS workstation loses communications with the UPS during applications it will appear to work normally except it will not allow exams to be taken. IF the UPS communication is lost before or at bootup, the Workstation will time out when the login prompt is displayed and turns off. In case of a UPS communication problem the AWS bootup routine was designed to bootup to the login prompt and allow the service engineer enough time to enter in commands to by pass the time out. Actually, the boot up routine times out at the login prompt.
