Zipper artifacts due to missing several Gold fingers in screen room door.
Symptom
MRIQ Intermittent Zipper Artifacts or Coherent Noise on Excite 1.5T HD See long description A straight line or a thick band of bright signal, also known as a "zipper" artifact or coherent noise, has been reported on the images of a few newly installed or upgraded 1.5T EXCITE HD systems. Most of these artifacts occur intermittently and often go away for a period of time after a part is replaced or a cable is moved. These artifacts will also sometimes cause SPT Coherent Noise Test to fail or the artifacts will be clearly visible in one or more of the resultant SPT Coherent Noise test images. On rare occasions this problem will manifest itself as high background noise on the images without the "zipper" artifact. This effect may be more pronounced on body and some surface coil images. These problems have not been seen on 3.0T EXCITE HD systems. Link to image quality troubleshooting guide. http://3.87.118.28/optec3/common/8xdocs/epst/mod11/m11_010_000.html
