Symptom

Secondary capture images created on Xeleris 2.0551 will not display with the VistA Imaging Display DICOM Viewer. VistA is an acronym for the Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture. It is an information system that is built around an electronic health record system and is used throughout the United States Department of Veterans Affairs medical system (the Veterans Health Administration or VHA). VistA Imaging is the image management system that is one part of the overall VistA information system. The VistA Imaging Display DICOM Viewer is a DICOM image viewer that displays images accessible from the VistA Imaging image management system within the electronic health record application that is a separate part of the overall VistA information system. The electronic health record application is known as the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS). NOTE: The VistA Imaging Display DICOM Viewer is not the same thing as the VistA Imaging color diagnostic workstations used by radiologists to read exams. The VistA Imaging Display DICOM Viewer is a less featured, lower resolution display application used by clinicians. The problem described by this NM Issue concept only applies to the VistA Imaging Display DICOM Viewer. It does not apply to the color diagnostic workstations.
