XELERIS shows Patient ID with ++1+

Symptom

XELERIS shows Patient ID with ++1+ The Xeleris adds a "++1+" to the end of the Patient ID when a patient with a duplicate ID is already identified on the workstation. The occurrence of this has been narrowed down to patients entered via Dicom Worklist versus manual entry . If once the patient study is entered manually (i.e. on ICON) and the second study is entered from Worklist (i.e. on Infinia), the "++1+" is added to the Patient ID of the second study. This ++1+ cannot be edited out, as long as the original study is on the system. Also, the study with the ++1+ cannot be sent to PACS, as their system rejects the study. It seems that the "^" that is entered as spaces in the patient name from the dicom worklist is the difference that causes this to occur (otherwise the patient name spelling is completely identical). iTrak 13032804
