Symptom

Fails TPS Reset when booting up to Applications or when Resetting TPS See Long Description When the MR system is booting up to applications it will fail TPS reset but Applications will successfully boot. With Applications up and "Reset TPS" has been selected, TPS fails to download successfully.

Error message

2267728 Unexpected communication loss with XGD. Please TPS reset and try again. If this error occurs again, contact your service representative. See Long Description ERROR: EM_XGD_HWO_COM_FAILURE Extended Error: The SCP unexpectedly lost its Ethernet connection to the XGD. Verify that an Ethernet cable is connected from the GMC to the switch and that the link LED on the GMC Ethernet port is illuminated (top LED). Verify that an Ethernet cable is connected from the SCP to the switch and that the link LED on the SCP Ethernet port is illuminated (top LED). Power down the XGD and verify that the GMC is seated securely in its slot by removing and re-seating it. Power on the XGD and perform a TPS reset. Power down the MGD chassis and verify that SCP is seated securely in its slot by removing and re-seating it. Power on the MGD chassis and perform a TPS reset.
