Known Problem in 20.1_IB1 Software, Resolved in 20.1_IB2 or 20.1_IB3 Software.

Symptom

Auto Prescan fails with “signal too small” error see long description Prescan tunes the scanner settings to the patient to deliver optimal image quality. Auto-prescan automatically determines these settings. Clicking the ‘Scan’ button after download automatically runs Auto Prescan. Sometimes, Auto Prescan, hence the actual scan, fails with an error message “signal too small”. Workaround : Click autoprescan button or use manual prescan. Manual prescan allows the operator to view and adjust the scanner settings. Click on the “Manual Prescan” button. When a plot for ‘Center Frequency’ is displayed, change it a little bit. Click Center Freq Fine (CTH) from the Transceiver Hardware Settings area of the Manual Prescan window. Click the handle of the Delta Frequency (DX) slider and move it right or left to adjust the center frequency. Continue changing the center frequency a little bit until a good spectra is displayed. Click on “Done” and repeat auto prescan so that the Tuning is completed automatically. See page 2 of service note DOC0765967 "MR450 and MR750 DVIB1 Existing Issues, Workarounds, and Plans".
