Duplicate Series Number with Internal Software and Recon Errors Logged. See Long Description and Attachment A series number may be seen to be duplicated in the browser, and there are many internal software and recon errors logged. The user interface seems to hang briefly while this is happening. (See Attachment for two screen shots from the site, showing the duplicate series number in the browser). This is the operator's description of what happened from SPR # MRIhc43731 "System assigned same series number to two consecutive scans": System assigned same series number to two consecutive scans. Was in auto scan mode and scan was going on. Then I prescribed a new series save and click scan button. System UI was hanging for a while and gave an error msg. Then after the previous scan done, I scanned this series, and somehow I got two series with the same series number. Workflow User had auto scan on. Series #37 was scanning. User saved next series (#38) and it tried to download (either manually via manual attempt to scan, or from Auto Scan...I can't tell from logs). Once series #37 is done, user re-scans series #38 which, after scan is done, is numbered as #37, resulting in two series #37.
